Orbit Romania started the seafreight forwarding since 2007, with a household goods effects transport in cooperation with our sister-company, Orbit Kazoulis, Cyprus, as the destination agent.
The first seafreight forwardings were with personal effects and the profit obtained made us try to develop this activity in our company. Up to the end of 2007 we had various household goods shipments sent to Cyprus and Spain. Soon, we tied strong professional connections with shipping lines and customs agents. In 2008, Orbit Romania obtained the first contract with a very important client for regular traffic export to Spain and next year we signed a new important contract for imports from China.
Beside the two contracts, we continued forwarding personal effects by sea and casual transports for our clients.
Orbit Romania has several projects in progress for developing the sea transports which include acquiring of new clients, substitution of road transports with seafreight for our clients if possible, offering to our logistics and moving department clients the transportation services and having the support of our Group of Companies, Orphee Beinoglou and our agents.
